Commissions

There are times when someone has an idea they would really like to see in writing, but either don't want to write it themselves or just happen to like my writing style. Because of this, I do take requests and commissions for writing.
- Request: A request is basically just a "could you write." The main part about requests is that it waits until I find the creative energies or just feel like writing it. This could take days, months, or even years depending on the events in my life.
- Commission: Commissions involve money. The advantage is, I write them first and I usually get them down in a very short period of time (depending on how long it is, of course). The rest of this page is about the stories that someone commission me to write.
For commissioned works, the current rates I'm using are based on my first couple of stories. There are two basic levels of writing:
- Basic: 0.02 USD per word. This comes out to about 100 USD for a 5,000 word story, which is an "average" length story. I have a minor problem with the wrong word spelled correctly and while I will remove everything I can, occasionally you'll find a typo with these.
- Edited: 0.04 USD per word (200 USD for a 5,000 word story). For the more professional stuff, I've used a copyediting service in the past. They charge per word, but they also remove 99.999% of the "oops" that always slip in. If you want this, it comes out very polished and I think a very good quality product.
Prices are for the desired length of the story and determined before the commission is started. If it ends up going longer, then I eat the costs. Stories won't be shorter than the negotiated length.

As you might tell from the website, there are very few things that bother me when it comes to writing. I am also capable of writing about things that don't directly interest me, but I have a great deal of trouble with scat and vomit. Almost anything else, I don't have trouble writing, even things that are consider taboo in the modern world. The best way to find out is to contact me and ask if I have a problem or if there will be issues (there won't be many).
As a minor note, my stories do not have to include sex or violence. I have another writing career that doesn't include either of these which has progressed nicely, so I'm just as open to the softer stuff than you find on this site as I am for the harder stuff.
